Skin cancer is very common in Australia with two-thirds of Australians being diagnosed by age 70. In this week's informative Health Column we focus on the high incidence of skin cancer in Australia, some common types of skin cancer such as non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancer, tips for preventing skin cancer, the Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide protocol, getting to know your skin and looking for changes, and the Cancer Council’s National Skin Cancer Action Week.

 

During National Skin Cancer Action Week 2017 (19–25 November) encourages people to protect themselves and their family from sun damage.
