COVID-19 Winter Dose (second booster):
The fourth COVID-19 dose has been approved by ATAGI and can now be administered by pharmacists approved to administer COVID-19 vaccines. Please refer to this schedule to assist in the provision of doses to the eligible cohort. Please ensure that dosages and approved vaccines are adhered to.

PFIZER
Pfizer boosters are available 5 months after your second dose. EARLY BOOSTER DOSES ARE NOT PERMITTED. The Pfizer booster may be administered if you had Moderna or AZ for your primary doses.
Pfizer primary doses are also available to everyone 18 years and over.
Booster doses are FREE and now available to everyone 18 years and over who have had both doses of their primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months ago. The date you had your second COVID-19 vaccine is on your COVID-19 digital certificate, which can be accessed via MyGov or the Medicare Express app on your smart phone.
Early reports have shown strong immune responses to the third dose, which is very encouraging for maintaining immunity.
You are still considered fully vaccinated with two doses, but a booster is just that, a boost to your immune system. A booster dose will continue to protect you, your loved ones and your community against COVID-19.
At the moment, having two doses is considered fully vaccinated, even if that second dose was a little bit more than 6 months ago. Still, a booster is the best available option to most effectively protect you from severe disease.

You can also receive the AstraZeneca vaccine booster if you can’t have the Pfizer vaccine for medical reasons or previously had two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

MODERNA
Please note the pharmacy is able to offer the Moderna vaccine to people aged 12 years and older (including those aged 60 and over).
Booster shots are available from 5 months after your second dose. No early dose exceptions The Moderna booster dose is half the strength of the initial primary doses. i.e. 0.25mL. The Moderna booster may be administered if you had Pfizer or AZ for your primary doses.
ASTRAZENECA

Astra-Zeneca vaccine is available for people aged 60 and older or people under 60 who have already received their first Astra-Zeneca vaccine without serious side effects.
